I am thinking of getting some casts for female troopers from angel forge but have some reservations and know some of you have used them before.
1) Is there a T bar included for the legs or do I have to cut one out from an existing figure (and how do you do it) 2) Does the torso come split so you can add the arms? If not, hints on how to remove/add arms to the torso 3) Per question 1 & 2 - If the torso is split, what is the best way to seal everything closed 4) Any suggestion on what legs/arms to use to really set this piece off? The standard POC AV legs seem girly enough with maybe a change to the lower legs, but I am still stumped on the arms. I am thinking Helix but there may be some other suggestions that I don't see. Painting the body isn't going to be an issue at all (I hope) since I do a lot of custom repaints already, but there is no way in hell I will be able to paint the face because I have a nerve issue and the smaller the details the more my hands shake. Hopefully someone will step up to help me out on this part. If everything seems to work out, I am looking to do 3 of these. 1 in standard POC AV colors, 1 in all black night ops, and one in the retaliation AV colors. I am more then happy to trade figures to have the painting done on the heads. Thanks for your help.

Let me see if I can answer some of your questions.
1. I would think it depends on the kit you are shopping for. Any kit I made for the store included torso stem (guts piece, unique design I came up with) and a t-bar. However, looking at the description and pictures from the store, it does not say they come with one. Shoot them an e-mail just to double check if it is included or not. Just to note, the T-bars most casters have are plastic, not metal. If you want metal T-bars, you will have to get them from another figure. 2. Yes, all torso are split down the sides so you can put what ever arms you want to add. Just keep in mind, some additional tooling might be needed to make them fit as not all arms are identical when made by Hasbro. 3. Once you have the pieces in hand are ready to put the figure together, you can just super glue the halves together. Some torso may have a gap in the seams which can be filled with Green stuff or Aves Sculpt epoxy. 4. You can use any type of legs you wish. Male or female legs are starting to be used on female torsos (the new Lady Jaye figure uses Steal Brigade legs). Best thing to do is swap parts around until you get the combination you like. I hope this helps some.

Can't help with the figure kit but I too get bad shakes in my hands.
I've found resting my elbow on a solid surface reduces the shakes in my hands. Hope it works for you! |

And as far as getting someone to paint a head sculpt. I have seen artists on Facebook offer that service. I have no idea how much they charge but maybe you can ask around the customizing groups there.
