I'm painting a vehicle, and I'm looking for the best FLAT clear coat spray to finish it up. Any help is much appreciated.

I think Testors dullcoat is excellent. Michael's usually has it in stock. Make sure and do multiple thin coats instead of 1 thick coat. And tape or remove any windshields or clear plastic.

There are plenty of brush on clear coats, but for a vehicle, they are not very practical.

I use Patricia Nimcock's. Found at walmart. Idk if it's best though. I might check into some of the others listed here just to compare.

Testor's GlossCote and DullCote sprays are especially good, but Dullcote is dead flat and will rub off if handled a ton or will get dirty for the same reasons.
Testors also makes a good selection of gloss, flat, satin and matte clears that brush on. I prefer Polly Scale, but as it's no longer being made, it's harder to come by. |
