Ok, I'm sure somewhere on here, there are probably 100 threads on how to do this. I know o ring figures , ya take out 3 screws and axcess to everything. With 25th and up, I know how to remove the heads...duh. and the legs will screw off like vintage, but the torsos and arms have me stumped, and I don't want to break something to figure it out. Can you remove the arms? Is the 2piece torso all one thing, or can the top be removed from the bottom? Do the arms just pull out? So many questions....please help

I know this is a popular topic, but it should be. Because it really is a daunting task to break apart a $7-12 figure. And really, it isn't that easy. It's probably the threshold that "kit bashers" and "Customizers" are divided by. The fact that breaking apart a torso risks destroying a figure. But if you have the right tool, you should be fine.
I'd refer you to this thread http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...pen-torso.html It gives several idea's...but honestly, I'd recommend Angry.Androids post #8 as the best method. Buying a cheap vice, wrapping your figure in a rag/cloth, and popping open the torso with pressure is the best/safest option. I don't recommend using the various X-acto knife/screw driver methods as they are both dangerous and damage the parts even further. Just be sure to wrap your figure with a cloth while popping it with a vice. Parts have been known to explode and fly EVERYWHERE. And if your workspace is even 1/64th as messy as most of ours, you'll have a hard time finding those pieces lol. Enjoy customizing man! Thanks for the question. |

I've recently found if I use a blow dryer to warm up the plastic it makes it a lot easier to pop torsos, lower arms, feet, etc
