Tankers,
My wife and I were killing time and went into Michaels, the craft store. As we were looking around, I saw a huge Christmas miniature village display. You know, those little houses they put out every christmas? Well, I noticed they had these rolls of plastic sheets that were shaped to look like bricks and cobblestone streets. And they seemed pretty big, I believe they were 18" x 36 and can be easily cut to fit any shape. LEMAX Landscapes Collection, Large Brick Mat - village, lemax, landscapes, christmas, ... - The Christmas Hut Santa Xmas Decorations Christmas Tree Gifts LEMAX Landscapes Collection, Pebble Mat - village, lemax, landscapes, christmas, ... - The Christmas Hut Santa Xmas Decorations Christmas Tree Gifts They seemed just a LITTE bit out of scale, but could work if used properly. They were called LeMax Landscape Elements. They were sold out of the brick, but the cobblestone roll was only $24 dollars. I know some of you diorama guys are REAL good at utilizing this stuff, so I figured 'd let you know!

Oh yeah, I have a bunch of those....never really used them in any permanent dioramas yet, though. Some of the Lemax stuff is kinda in 1:18 scale, so it's worth checking out their displays. Also, Michaels ALWAYS has it (Halloween and X-Mas) on sale, and if not, they always have the 40% coupons through email or their flyers, so these can be had pretty cheap. There's tons of stuff all over Michaels and the other craft stores that are great for customizing and diorama building.
