Interesting method, I will give it a try. I have been using the channellock method. I have been very successful with it, only one catastrophic failure on an IG Destro.

this method is flawless. bout a portbable vise from Home Depot for $20.

I was using this method(the table vice) but w/o the sock and I'd use the small screwdriver bits that come in those interchangeable screwdriver sets(one under each arm pit taped together around the torso and then placed just right in the vice) and it worked great 2 out of the 4 times I tried it. The Target UBP Hiss Driver's chest had some fatal damage to it(curled one side of the front under beyond repair) and has yet to pop the Desert CG torso after many attemps. I will try this method tonight maybe.

What size channel lock pliers do you guys use? I see 12 inch and 20 inch ones for sale. I'm tired of using the Exacto blade method. It always draws my blood and damages the figure.

I too use this method. The onyl issues i have ever had is with serpentor and dulkes having too much glue. most any other figure snaps with ease
