I have both. Recharging is a pain. However the corded one is a lot faster than the cordless one, so it's easier to butcher parts with it.

The dremmel is actually really easy to use. I found the one I bought on the WalMart website so you'll know how it looks. It's in the Home Improvement Dept. with all the tools and shit.

Oh dear god, I facepalmed so many times reading this thread. Cutting the neck to make the head sit lower? That's action figure abuse! Every customizer NEEDS a dremel. Some just don't realize it yet. You can modify parts to work together that never would have otherwise. Sometimes you'll f**k something up, but it's a learning experience. It opens whole new worlds once you realize its potential.
Here's a tutorial I made in combination with mswi/Heretic on using a dremel: JoeCustoms.com > View topic - Dremel Techniques Tutorial And for those who needs to pin a neckball: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...neck-ball.html . . . This dremel will come in handier than I first thought...in addition to neck holes, I can use it to sand down some pesky knee joints that don't quite fit... He meant what he said.

I tend to use a drill bit to extend the hole a bit and that makes a little notch for the round one (Second one from the right) to sit in.
I'm also not all that great of a customizer, so maybe one of the pros can chime in if this is what they use too. |

[QUOTE=Dolemite;4384620]I was just as Walmart now and saw the exact same dremel that you have, for something like $23. Now, can anyone show me a pic of the idea attachment to use to deepen a neck hole? I don't feel like buying the $20 box of attachments if I only will need one or two.[QUOTE]
I bought the same dremel, mainly because I had a Wal-Mart gift card. After that, I ended up at Lowe's and picked up an 11 piece dremel carving kit (SKU 5000689-01). I chose THAT kit because it had 5 ball tipped diamond points that I really wanted (and that 75 piece version you were looking at in Wal-Mart might have had one ball tip, I think). It also had 5 other sanding tips. Here it is...for $15: http://www.lowes.com/pd_238569-353-6...mel&facetInfo=

No problemo, my friend! Just so you know, I ALSO just bought the dremel and accessories today. I assume my accessories work with the dremel in question--as they are both made by Dremel--but I guess I don't know 100% yet.

I got my Drexel from Big lots...can't remember the price, but it was under 30....
...another way to deal with a long neck is to slowly crimp the neck post with a pair of pliers and trim the flattened ball with a nail flipper...yup I'm a guerrilla customizer....lmao
