Ok, i'm finishing a Manleh custom. This is my first try at painting camo, and since i don't know anything about it i would like some feedback. I've looked several sites, and got many interesting camo textures, but i dunno what should be right for a para-guy If anyone has a link to a site, please post it. I dunno who uses what (i can recognize a desert camo, but not the different types, for example) In this particular case, i've just kept the simple two shades of blue...but made it a bit more complex. The original: YOJOE.COM | Manleh (Argentina) |

*sigh*
I assume that the camo is absolutely perfect, and there's no other pattern in existence... |

As far as what type of camo a "para-guy" should wear is determined by what type of enviorment he'll be landing in. If it's just a night op then maybe a greyscale camo pattern, light grey, medium grey, and black. Obviously at this scale you won't be able to do a digi-pattern, so stick with the basic shapes that a woodland, urban, or desert camo has. Try painting the shapes a little smaller and always have at least three colors in the camo pattern. I have a couple of camo painted custom figs in my album if you want to check em out. I really like where your custom is going, like to see him when he's done!

Yes, the blue patterns i've found have white or light grey...i wanted to keep the original, but it looks silly and outdated. I'll check your figures, thanks! |

I usually like to use four colors on my camo patterns. For yours I would use the blue you have as the base, then a lighter blue, a light grey and final application would be light strokes of black.
here's one i just did, with green, a slightly lighter gree, tan and black. application was in that order.

IMO you need at least three colors, throw a light grey in and please make sure it isnt that shiny in the end, he is to epic to be super shiny. Try not to make it so perfect and uniform, that might help. The advice I recieved was put the brush down and wiggle it! haha. you can see my first camo on the thread titled Fierce Krypton's Army Ranger 001
