On amazon that thing is 150 bucks. That's crazy. The dreadnoks and all their incestuous ways can live in my figures bin.

Schleich makes those castles. Fuckers are expensive. They have one on clearance for 50% at the farm store, and it is still over $50. Their trees at the same discount are $20 each.

Dammit, I wish I played with my Joes more than just setting them up on shelves... I simply don't have room for them now as an "adult".
If I had a kid, I'd shell out the bucks for that swamp vet center... That thing is PERFECT for the Dreadnoks, and has quite a bit of detail to boot. I prefer the more realistically detailed/designed buildings, like the alleyways and WWII burned-out buildings... Those look awesome. I know as a kid, until I acquired the early 90s Joe HQ and General, my Joes hung out in the Ghostbusters' HQ and I used either Castle Grayskull or Thundercats Lair as my Cobra base. Or made them out of boxes/etc. It's a shame that they didn't make more modular bases than they did... Meaning bases that could easily be assembled/reconfigured instead of the overly-thought-out bases that folded up compactly and sort of only worked as-is. All I know is, if I had a dad like me as a kid, wow, I'd have had a field day with all the crazy shit I'll one day build for my son. |
