Look up Gundam Chain Base. I have several of them...they're made for Robots and are not truely 1/18th scale, but you can stack them up and make a cool looking base like above. They are around $18 for a wall and floor piece, so it'll cost you! He could have over $300 in his base, but they are awesome, I own about 10 sets.

This is the seller (xiaojie8810) and their current listing (now $88, by the way - you can beat me by $1) for the same exact 10-pack I bought back in 2016 (I only yesterday got around to actually building the sets...go figure): CG MSG MACHINE NEST CHAIN BASE FOR HG MG GUNDAM TRANSFORMERS ACTION BASE 10 SETS

^Yup, that's what it is, and they are awesome. However, I don't have $300 in my setup. I'm too cheap for that. I bought three wall/floor sets on eBay for something like $40 once to try them out, then another 10 of them in a group later on from a different seller (hence the color variation of the two left-most floor panels and their walls). They are two different brands, and they aren't perfectly identical or perfectly compatible across brands. They're about 90% compatible. I bought my 10-pack for $89, which made it far easier to bite the bullet.

I also just ordered the set you got! Last edited by hahoo3; 04-12-2017 at 03:12 PM.. |

Awesome, thanks Bro! I guess I was going of single listings...I can't remeber what I paid, but I did buy in bulk also.

I've been admiring those chain bases from afar for the better part of a decade, but have never bit the bullet.

Those are more or less in scale, plus with a new paint job they typically look pretty decent.
