I need to take apart a ROTJ Han Solo (Sandstorm scene) figure, but I need the torso and arms intact.
Does the vice method work or will it destroy the figure? Any suggestions?

Agreed... but Han Solo will always be a cool character.

I bought that fig when it first came out and removed the arms- they're perfect as female Joe jacketed arms. I cracked the torso in a vice without any damage at all to the torso or arms. I use SW parts all the time as Joe fodder and can tell you this- boil & pop the arms out of any swivel waisted SW fig but use the vice method to crack any ball-jointed torsos (like this Han Solo fig) to get out the arms as you would with a Joe fig. Hope that helps...

Thanks, Alaroc! The vice worked like a charm!

If that's a modern Star Wars figure with a ball-jointed waist, it will crack open with very little hassle!
I'm finishing my Han Solo up today, so I'll post a pic!
