Hello Tank,
I recently begun work on a custom Joe' of myself, it's going to be my first 25th custom (I used to make my own ARAH figures back in the day) and I began to wonder if anyone else has made versions of themselves in Joe form. I for one have always wanted a figure of myself to battle along side my Joes' and now Im doing that. So if you've got one, post it here, converse about them, post the recipe, give constructive criticism, give advice, etc, etc... I'll go first- It's not much but it's a very bare start. This will be the "civilian" version, I plan to do a military version based around the resolute figures as well. Here's the bike I got for me: It's a Mastio Harley FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport. So far I've got:
But this is literally I just got my packages and threw this together, I still have much to do:
So thats it, as you can see I've got much to do, and Im waiting for my paint order to come still, as well as my Ripper, and the pistol belt. After I receive all this, I can really get to work, Im just itching to get painting because I know I will take a few days to paint the whole thing, just so I do it right. Im going to be painting him in a very flat/clean scheme so that he matches the other Joes (and in particular the Noks'). Now, for the back story. My Joe me is a member of the Joe' team, however he is undercover infiltrating the Dreadnoks, under the guise of another local outlaw motorcycle club member (Haven't come up with a mean sounding MC name yet, will happen soon though) and thus he will be in dreadnok/riding garb and on a scooter (as you've seen). I can't wait for all this to come together. I've been planing it for a long time. I'll be updating this thread as I work on the figure. Any feedback or tips will be appreciated much. Thanks for reading, and I hope to see some more self customs from you guys.

Actually my avatar is my custom of myself. the head is from a rebel commando from the star wars tins. when i took the helmet off and saw the hairline I said "That's me!" so I took the head, put it on a beachhead custom dyed/painted body and made myself a Joe. Codename: Mr. Clean.
Of course, i've since shaved. so... not so accurate anymore. |

Nice job, you should post a pic of you so we can compare. I wanna do one of me, but I'd need a figure with a shaved head, a full beard and glasses. Any ideas, Tankers?

Sorta close right? I don't have my leather on in that one... As for the beard figure, you can always sand down the top of a rock n' roll or obi-wan head. And Mutt Williams comes with glasses I believe.

Very nice, that looks a lot like you, man. Christ, I have too many customs I want to do. And then there's still regular figures to buy... At least the rest of me will be easy: black t-shirt, jeans and boots. Cuz that's how I roll.

Now thats how you do it man. I was going to do card art for me and such, and make a card, but I have no time to do any of that stuff really (Im majoring in graphic design, and besides school work, I've not got a second).
