Hello ladies and gentlemen.
i've been working for the better part of three months on a little diorama, and have fun into a glitch. i'll first tell you what i'm working on, so far my idea is, 'the garage' in my joe'verse, i've got some mechanics, and i need a spot where all of the vehicles, can be brought after damage has been done. so, in order to complete the look, i need some tools for these guys to use. i've so far found plenty of accessories from dicast models, but yet no one (that i can find) has made any items 'in hand', i would really like some torque wrenches, and cresent wrenches, tire irons, et cetra et cetra... so, here's why i turn to you, have you guys in your travels come across any 1:18 tools? thanks guys! keep up the great works! |

Broken Arrow sells a few items that fit the bill, like a drill/pliers combo. Marauders Gun Runners sell some tools as well, though they tend to be more field tools (shovels and the like) than garage, if memory serves. I have a small set including a screw driver, drill, and ratchet set, but I believe I bought that from SDS a while back. Unfortunately, they're not operational at the moment. I believe some of the sculptors who contributed to SDS are still on the site, do you might check some of the custom folks on eBay.

Playmobil stuff works well. Even better is a line of toys called Mighty World. Target carried it in the past, but now you usually only see it at Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx or Marshalls. They usually carry a few of the sets around the holidays. It is the same scale as Playmobil, but there are some really cool accessories. Just to name a few that my son has: jaws of life, jackhammers, sledge hammers, wrenches, wooden crates, camping lanterns, sleeping bags, emergency baricades, flashlights, shovels, picks, axes, handcuffs, circular saw, chain saw, etc....

1:18 Scale Garage Accessories
That isn't the only place to get them, but all sources are universally expensive. I believe the tools that come with McFarlane's Walking Dead Michonne will work with Joes, too. |

I had this very same question awhile back. I never found anything online I was happy with but I eventually found that most big model stores sell 1:24th scale garage dioramas for 1:24th cars. Usually they have a serious amount of hand tools in them so the difference in scale is only noticeable in some of them. Holy crap, I just found it. I'll be ordering some more and I suggest you do the same. Fujimi GT02 110325 Garage & Tool Series Tools 1/24 scale kit | eBay

^^^FYI, only about half the kit is usable in scale but the detail on them is fantastic and it comes with various sized wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. Here is a dio I did with a couple of the tools:http://i916.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/DSCF8376.jpg
