Maybe you've been asked this before, maybe not, but your stuff is pretty top notch and certainly rocks the cat box, but I was wondering...
Any thoughts on making the some jet pack flames like the ones that came with the R2D2 or the Boba Fett? Seems like one dude here was making them, or said he was, then he just disappeared. So whats up? |

I'd consider it, but due to the amount of resins (and the much higher quality material than the Alumilite that was shown) that would be needed to do a Boba Fett flames, there is no way I'd be able to try to sell them anywhere near that cheap. The upside is that I could cast them in transparent yellow so that they could easily be made to look correct with a transparent orange and transparent red paint.

They don't have to be that cheap. I'd only need a couple extra so I'd drop a $3-4 on each.

I have a set of Viper hands already up in the store. Been there for a while, just keep selling out. The Duke arms are coming, as I need to make two sets of molds.
The flames are going to be way more than just $3 or $4 each. The amount of clear urethane that each one uses is more that that cost, then you have to factor in labor, dyes, and a mold. Probably talking between $12 and $15 each plus shipping (again not cheap due to weight). Most of you guys won't want to pay that, so that's why I haven't done a set of these. If that changes, I may still yet see about it. |

Thanks for the reply, but yeah, $12 bucks is kinda steep. Its cool you've looked into though.

Yeah, I'm sorry that's not really the news that you wanted to hear. I'll look into it a bit further and see about using a different (less expensive, but not as strong) material. First blush guess on that price is going to be about $8 or $9 each, but I'll put a definite answer back here when I check it out.
