Currently working on a custom project at the moment. The figure and packaging (yes, it's a long story) appear to be coming along well, but a slight dilemma arose which has become rather difficult to navigate around.
In order to fit the figure and various accessories onto the package, a bubble is required. To be more specific, a DEF/Battle Corps bubble (think Law, Long Arm, etc.), an item that I don't have to spare. Any tips on how it may be possible to replicate the desired bubble? Perhaps a workable alternative? Research on the problem has been done, but the only reproductions around seem to be for much older package styles. Pointing me in the right direction is much appreciated. |

Maybe vacuum forming? I know there's YouTube videos on how to make home made kits, the clear plastic to do it with might be the toughest part.

Please keep in mind that I've never actually done this, but I think I might be able to offer a suggestion for doing this.
If I were to try to do this here is the way I think might work. Put a hole in the center of a paper plate, and build an open top rectangular box (walls) the size, and depth of the box you want out of card stock on the paper plate, and put a plastic sheet over the box. Then place your figure, and accessories on the sheet of plastic where you want them. Go around the sides to make the sides of the packaging. Now carefully holding the plate up use a hair drier in the hole, and let your figure, and accessories sink into the plastic, and once the figure. Now for the custom bubble around your vacuum form. Build a cardstock box around the vacuum form, and tape the corners. Now put a sheet of clear plastic over that box, and use the hair drier to form, the sheet around the cardstock box. Now this one should fit over the figure's packaging. At least I think this might work.
