Ever just get too involved in an idea?
Okay I just got the Dreadnoks set and displayed them all together and started to realize Monleywrench needs his weapon. So I decided I'm gonna build one, using the jaw parts of the grabber thing that came with ROC The Doctor. Two hours later (opening that weapon is a mess) I realized how bad this was turning out. And it occurred to me...why am I building when I can just buy. $4 and two minutes later I had one from ebay....what a moron. LOL I guess sometimes your just to close to see the obvious. |

LOL.. Buying the vintage version is typically easier than making. Especially if it's an odd or bizarre weapon such as his.
Then there are weapons that are way too over exaggerated from the originals and are easier to make.. i.e. Mercer's gun. I just took one of the joe 1911's and added a Marauder John silencer to it. Looks more proportioned.

I know what you mean. I went the opposite direction though. Got my SDCC Zarana and had every intention on using the ARAH rifle. I ended up going with a Marauder's modular rifle with the chainsaw attachment.
Sometimes, ARAH accessories work, sometimes they don't. Still trying to figure out something about a Zandar rifle update... |

Seems Spirit's arrow rifle would work for Zandar.
I just went with a standard shotgun for Monkeywrench. |

I dunno, before I ever go to ebay....I always check on the tank first to see if anyone has a spare anything I need.
My chest tightens everytime I spend more than a buck or 2 for a small piece of plastic. I could easily buy a vintage Altitude helmet off ebay for 4 bucks. but....damn.....4 bucks....
