How do I remove testors model paint? Is there a proper method? Will paint thinner, destroy the core figure? Is there any hope for my joes that I already painted?

U can try an acetone bath (nail polish remover) & a soft bristle toothbrush - don't let the fig or parts soak too long - try several sessions until it is all gone...

This method is safe for both types(soft & hard) plastics found on joes. Get "Easy off" oven cleaner spray parts all over and create a puddle inside a zip lock bag overnight. 24 HRS. exactly. after rinse W/cold water, Take an old toothbrush and scrub all paint of like butter works like a charm! gloves mask a must. Spray outside in a well vented area Keep bag in some kind of container just in case of a leakage. Good luck I learned this one on the tank. I can't remember who posted it but I'm not gonna sit and take all the credit! Here's the result sorry no before pics but trust me the enamel was caked on!

Exactly what he said. I've posted that Easy Off is the best paint remover before (not gonna take credit got being the first as I learned it while I was building model cars). It works great removing paint from any types of plastic. But it's best to always try it on a spare part, although I've never had a problem but better safe than sorry.
