How do you Custom Stands?

I see alot of customs on this site and one thing that confuses me is I always see the figure's stand renamed to fit the figure, and its in the same Font as the regular stands, meaning you dont paint the name. how do you do it?

you just put the names in an Microsoft Excel file, make the background of the spreadsheet black and the text color white and then put the names in it using the right font style. Once you got the names in just print them out on full size sticker sheet, cut and put over the name on the stand.
