Similarly, I don't mind ripping open the last MOC version of certain figures if I need the parts. For example, I've used TF Flint arms in several customs, to the point where I raided my last remaining carded TF Flint. Someday I hope to find another to keep carded, but I'm more than likely to eventually use that one for another custom!

i would enjoy customizing more if i was not such a perfectionist,it ruins all my customs and they end up half finished because of it....

I love customizing. If the figure is kinda common I'll use it no problem for a custom. It's the rare ones I usually don't customize unless i have duplicates. As to the question of coarse i enjoy customizing more than collecting but I enjoy the figures that hasbro makes too.

Im with you on this one. I just got frustrated trying to make an Airtight and ended up throwing it away. I couldnt get the paint smooth enough...no matter what I tried. Also, going from dark color to light is a b@tch! I even put down a layer of white. No go...maybe Ill try again later.

Can't say I like customizing "more" than collecting since I only get the figures I really want to display and I only customize a figure if I think it can stand next to a store bought figure w/out looking like a custom.... I guess I just love 'em both

I really love LOOKING at all the customs you guys make. I'm not very good at it. I have only made one, "The Romero Trooper."
But I admire everyone's work so much. Makes me jealous, they all look so good I wanna eat them, seriously. I'm more of a story guy, than a customizer. I'm an idea and story customizer more than an actual like prop and figure customizer, if you can get what I mean. But I am working on getting better at customizing. |

If you read the back story for my custom Romero Trooper, you'll get what I mean about story customizing.
Sometimes, I dig the back story more than the figure, and I like telling the story more than showing off the figure. LOL. |

I think at first- I was only going to collect the 25th ninja characters (as Ive got a pretty good collection of vintage),and the rest would be all customs.
After I got a few,I realized how cool they were-and started just getting the core characters....now Im onto troop building!!!

I enjoy both, I collect the original 3 1/4 figs but I customized the 12 inch figs, rarity has no meaning to me in that arena, although the though of ripping up my 3 1/4 cc or snake-eyes makes me feel ill.
