and i don't believe i was in the least bit "rude".
the flip side of the coin is he was being RUDE to a new member and first time poster and pointing out a technicality in terminology when it is quite obvious what was meant. ps. i'm AMAZED he didn't point out the spelling error in the thread headline. NOW,....GO CRY TO MOD. boo hoo hoo |

Today I am finally trying to do my first custom. I was really surprised at how easy it is to take the 25th line apart. Now I am at the coloring part and I am having a hell of a time messing with this paint. I already have Testors enamel water based paint that I used on the comic pack storm shadow and learned that doesnt work very good so I went out and bought Testors acrylic paint and it too is water based but it is not covering the original color very good. It just keeps running all over the place. Can someone please give me some suggestions. I would really appreciate it.
Can't wait to see the custom! And if it hasn't been said yet - welcome to hisstank! |

...here are some of the basics if anyone else wants to know:
I use Tamiya acrylics.(I buy them at my local hobby store) They are great to work with because the brushes wash up with water. You can also try Testors Model Master acrylics. Always wash the figure in warm soapy water and let dry before painting. Never try to paint the figure with the intent to finish it in one sitting, .....> "I usually do 1 coat and let the figure sit for an hour, then repeat 1 or 2 (or 3) times." The first coat may look like crap but don't keep applying more paint, let it sit for an hour and repeat 1-3 times for best results. Since writing this I have switched over to Games Workshop/Citadel paints, I use them exclusivly on JOES & Star Wars figs.
