preface...
So my work on the 9th Special Forces Group (Airborne) continues apace.. albeit slowly as usual. Such is the life of a customizer! Be sure to check out the novelization of the 9SFG(A)'s heroism during the War on Terror here: Real American Heroes. As my work on the figures continues I figured I might as well try to update some of my stock 1:18th scale vehicles. This is a 21st Century Toys (RIP) 1:18th scale M1025 HMMWV (Originally w/ TOW launcher). Its mostly good the way it comes out of the box, but I wanted to change up a few things and weather it a little to go along with my 'dirtyfied' figures. This is my 'Operations' HMMWV with some basic weathering. Added a few extra features here and there and basically tried to "real world" it up as much as I could without going overboard. With the 9th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Here is the closest I could find to the 'stock' HMMWV, as I didn't take before pictures. Thanks for reading.. and be sure to let me know what you think.. we all learn from our mistakes!! -- NSA

Excellent. What I hated about all the Humvees that were released from BBI and 21st Century was that they all had the TOW launcher instead of the machine gun on the top.

It looks good. How did you make the turret with the M60?

Haha thanks.. I actually used the base for the TOW launcher.. Grafted on the shaft to the resolute missile launcher (from the original 5 pack), painted it and viola! Turned out alright for a basic mount. I have ideas for doing different things with it but it's passable for now!!
