I think this is awesome and for the record I Thought the song was a little tongue-in-cheek humor. So it works in my opinion.

Some work in progress pictures, I forgot I had.
Here is the bottom of the Ecto during wiring. The resistors that control "flashing" and power usage are at the base of the leds in shrink tube. I led all the wires to behind the seat where the battery is now located and all the excess wire is now under the seat. The bubble wrap between the front wheels contains the sound chip and speaker. Rather than risk the integrity of the chip with glue I padded it with bubble wrap so it fits snuggly under the hood. The real test was joining this base wiring setup with the roof wiring setup using my giant hands. lol This is the insanity that was the roof wiring before I organized and hid all the wire. The resistors that control "flashing" and power usage are at the base of the leds in shrink tube. As you can tell, this was a major job. The hardest part was joining this wiring setup with the base setup and hiding the wire, placing the battery and doing it all with the vehicle back together using my big hands through the rear hatch. Not easy, but worth it!

Absolutely freaking amazing work FF! Oh how I only wish mine looked and sounded as cool as that when I was younger. If they remade one like this I would buy it in a heartbeat!! Stay Gangsta.

All other custom Ecto-1's must bow b4 Firefly's! Believe me i looked, nothin even close to the amount of LEDs you have in that bad boy, plus the flashin, plus the sound!!
This will look perfect with Mattel's GB line, which i heard isnt selling well so NO chance for a Mattel Ecto-1. batmobile!! |
