After his first year as being Star Quarterback for the Patriots, Jaxon Dawson was spotted by DOC from GI Joe as the perfect subject for the new cybernetics program.
Jaxon previously had no interest in joining the military but after winning his first Super Bowl he partied a little to hard that night and crashed his motor cycle. The injury left him paralyzed from the neck down. DOC came to his hospital and offered him a choice. Be a cripple or join GI Joe. Jaxon agreed and DOC performed the experimental cybernetic surgery on him. Jaxon was a complete success and the surgery gave him superhuman speed, strength and agility. However there is also a specially designed body armor suit that hooks directly into Jaxon's new Cybernetic body. With his new body and new suit Jaxon became Captain Grid Iron as the newest member of the GI Joe Team. His suit is capable of withstanding heavy fire, it has flight capabilities and a lot of fire power.

Cool, not my first thought of the character, but cool none the less.
When i seen the first pic of him with his helmet on,put a jetpack on him and you have a nice Centurion.Awsome cartoon from the 80s if in case you don't know what i'm talking about. |

THIS makes more sense for a Captain Gridiron than what we got, especially the backstory!

Thanks man. Yeah and I came up with that off the top of my head. LOL you'd think they could have done better, but oh well.
