I got a ARAH Wolverine a while back and I knew that I was gonna have to make a 25th/ME Cover Girl to go with it. I wanted to make a modern version of the ARAH figure, but I like the style of the DDP comic version.
I wasn't going to post this one after seeing, fellow Tanker, Sgt Humpty's Cover Girl. He really pulled off a great figure, but I figured that our styles were different enough. I used DVD Lady Jaye's torso. I completely removed the molded suspenders and "winged" medal. I then used some "two-n-one" putty (much like Green Stuff) to mold the shirt tail. The head is from a CP Scarlett with the hair from MU Jean Gray. The arms and jacket came from Indiana Jones. I trimmed the lapels. To get the "furry" look I used a few layers of flat white paint and tan flocking (the stuff used to imitate carpet in model cars). The hands came from ROC Beach Head. I cut the extra dog tags off of a Major Bludd figure to make her necklace. Her bandoleer was the gun strap (modded) from some SW figure's blaster. The pistols and legs are from ROC Cover Girl. I sanded down the thigh pockets. I then added the pouch to her right leg that I took off of a Wal-mart exclusive Copperhead. the straps for the pouch were cut from thin styrene. The left shoulder patch is hand painted. I used flat acrylic paints and matte acrylic clear coat. I'm not completely happy with the head, so there may be a new one sometime in the future.

The torso is just about perfect. Nice paint job.

Thanks!
It took me three tries to get the shirt tail right. Thanks! All of the paint apps are with a brush. I use to have visible brush strokes until I found the right brush. Thanks! Thanks!

I love what you did here! She is spot-on when compared to the reference pic. I particularly like what you did with the untucked shirt. Great job all around!

Thanks, Sgt Humpty! She pales in comparison to yours.

Nonsense! Besides, they are two different outfits (similar, but different). I debated for quite awhile between the version I did and the one you did. I ended up being forced into the version I did based upon the nonavailability of the jacket I wanted. I didn't think the one I chose would have looked good with the fur on it. I never would have thought of doing my own flocking like you did.
