Using flat colors, I prime the parts and start with a solid base like green, then I add brown, khaki, and finish with black. I then use flat clear before putting all the parts back together. This pattern was more of a horizontal type. Modern U.S. Military woodland is more of an inconsistant pattern flowing every which way. I would live to do a digital pattern like what we have in the Marines, but that would take damn near forever!! Thanks for the postive word and honest critiques, I do apprecieate it. Stay tuned though. I have some more ninjas that I am working on and a Scarlett that I decided to make semi nude... the concept looks killer. Works along with her MOS, Counterintelligence. I guess I would call her the master of Sexpionage lol!! Last edited by Marine_Deadpool; 05-08-2008 at 02:47 PM.. |

WOW, really careful & non rushed paint apps.
Great job, very realistic ! EDIT * Perhaps just a black wash on the web gear will darken it a little.

i personally like the brown gear because its different...one of the reasons i liked Grunt, Zap and Crankcase so much was their brown gear

I love it, great job on this.
Maybe SnakeEyes should wear this in the movie since everyone else is wearing black.

I love to paint camo (it's addicting), and I have to say without a doubt, that's some of the best camo painting I've seen on a Joe! Great job all around! I'll have to try the windex trick too.
