Hey gang, meant to post this with my Hard Master, Cutter, and Billy but I got a little busy. Better late then never, right.
Anyway, Cover Girl made her first appearance in the comics way back in issue 16 with some of the other 83 Joes like Tripwire. Her appearance was overshadowed by another event in this issue...Hawk being shot in the back...but she soon became a regular member of the team, even going on the Swiss Alps mission that captured Cobra Commander. I always felt like she was underused and on a team with only one other woman at the time, Scarlett, they could have done more with her character. I finally got a vintage one a few years ago so this time around, my version is less a comic update than more of an homage to the vintage figure and as she appeared on the package artwork.

Her legs are Scarlett, her body is Lady Jaye with some sculpted sleeves.
The forearms and hands are from Star Wars figures and the jacket is a cut down, modified, and tailored Indiana Jones jacket. The head came to me with a slight "scar" on the cheek which you can still see a little bit of. I was pretty pissed, but it actually inspired me to add more to her back story...it ended her career as a model. Yes, she's still a gorgeous woman and to the common eye perfect, but to the modeling world, that small scar was intolerable. The decal of her "Wolverine" symbol is so small, it gave me a little trouble at first, but it turned out great and was worth the trouble. I clearcoated her to give her a unified look. Hope you guys dig her as much as I do. |
