Hey guys. After the Rocky "What if they made it?" I did, I had a fellow tanker ask me to try and make a 1987 ARAH Pythona figure. I found some sweet card art by tanker Benny Broca and I thought Id give this commission a shot.
Im still pretty new at sculpting and custom figures but I found a pretty good recipe after some research. I used a 1987 Jinx body and a 1986 Zarana head that I sanded down so it was bald. Then I pinned and glued the pony tail from that one star wars ponytail chick, I forget her name. The hooded coat is from a Star Wars Anakin Skywalker that was trimmed down and dyed black. I tried to make the card look as legit to 1987 as possible. The art by Benny Broca is AMAZING!!!! Im glad he shared it with us. I used his filecard copy too, just slightly modified. All and all, Im pretty happy with the result and am enjoying getting more into creating ARAH figures as opposed to just doing graphics stuff. I feel like the only thing missing for this figure would be a pair of claws from a 1992 or 1988 Storm Shadow. They were too difficult ($$$) to track down. Anyway, here are the pics!!!! Fantastic job!!! I especially dig the oversized head...that's what always seems to be missing from customs these days. Nailed it shut!! Would love to see a pick with the hood up...is there a hood? Super cool!

Hm, how long till this reaches front page?
Great job. I've not bought an O-ring figure in years, but damn if that's not amazing. |

By the way, in case I didn't come across as liking it, that card art may be more spectacular than the figure... I can't figure out which half is more awesome, but together they're a home run. Props to Benny Broca, and to you for assembling it all together.
