Range Vipers are one of Cobra's favorite troopers.
After training is complete, they equip them only once then send them out into the field. The Range Vipers are expected to procure their own weapons and equipment from that point on. There is however, a rumor within the ranks of Cobra, that a shadow unit exists in the Range Viper sect. A ultra violent faction that does not discriminate between friend or foe, that cares only for the mission. And that mission is to kill. To kill in some of the worst places on earth. Unlike most conspiracy theories, this rumor happens to be true. This shadow unit is known as the Death's Head Range Viper. There are only a few qualifications to be included into the ranks of this squad, albeit difficult ones. 1. A candidate must be embedded in a combat theater for over three years. 2. The candidate must no longer be carrying any equipment issued to him by Cobra. He must be using gear, weapons and ammo that he has "procured" on his own. 3. A successful candidate will have a significant body count to his name. 4. A candidate does not apply to the unit, but rather is chosen based on merit. These men are the worst of the worst. They have gone native, speak the local languages, mimic the local customs and kill without a second thought. They can hit a enemy unit and disappear into the environment like a ghost. That is a cool gritty figure you did up and I dig the story with it. The goggles on the mask are a real nice touch. That looks like one mean mo' fo'.

Awesome custom! I love the narrative, totally cool.
I also love the stone post and barbed wire in the background. As soon as I saw that I thought "this customizer lives in or near Western Kansas". I used to live near the world's only Barbwire Museum out there. Too few people appreciate the importance of barbwire to the development of our nation, in my humble opinion. |

Yes, but it isn't the helmet HE was issued.
That means there is a Range Viper dead in a ditch somewhere missing a helmet... |

Thanks for the comments, gents. Heh, I live in Colorado and the bookends I used actually did come from the barbwire museum. |
