Here's a project I finished awhile ago but never got around to posting.
A coworker of mine brought me in a brown paper bag of some Joe parts and pieces he didn't want. This Awe Striker was one of the items in the bag. I wish I had taken pics before I started working on this. It was a beauty. The roll cage and front bumper was gone, The mid section where roll cage mounts was all melted down and there was a Mauler mudflap super glued to each side. The area where the camera sits had a hole melted through and one of the antenna mounts was super glued in the hole. Finally the steering bar was gone and in it's place was a rubber-band super glued to each spindle. First couple pics show a new steering bar made from Styrene tubing, front cage mounting holes and melted hole filled in and mid section trimmed down and new cage mounts glued in. Larger exhaust tips too. Next couple pics show new roll cage, 50. cal mount, antenna and cargo rack fabricated. |

After some Tamiya and Model Master paint and some stickers from Cobrastickers this buggy is ready for another mission.

That is some nice work. What did you make the cargo rack from? Is it styrene with holes drilled in it? Looks so kool....
Thanks, Chris
