Which is kind of what Ren's problem was, I think. If you look at a picture of what you might call an "average" female soldier in battle dress. (I mean average in stature for a woman) They generally look like they are wearing oversized gear, especially their Kevlar (helmet).

It also might be the "softened" jaw line.

The helmets are definatly designed closer to the RAH helmets than the blockier 25th helmets.

Afaik, Vipers don't wear body armor, they wear tac-vests. So it would make sense for it to be a little more "form fitting". As far as the mask/helmet, I think they do this to emphasize the feminimty of the sculpt. Let's face it, 1:18th scale does have it's downfalls, and the subtleties in human form is one of the big ones. I could see using an original Viper head on this, though.

I would've loved to see Hasbro put out Squad packs with extra heads, containing female troopers. Like Viper, CG, Blueshirt, Tele-Viper, all in 3 or 4 packs. Each containing an Officer, Standard Troop, and Female Troop. They could've included some of their more "generic" 25th headsculpts as the second heads. There are plenty to choose from. I know it'll never happen, but it would have been cool.

Yeah that's probably something to do with it. May just be how perfectly round her head is, though.

All that being said. I like the female helmet sculpt for the female figures better. I'd think they'd blend TOO MUCH with a full squad of male vipers, if you used the normal hemlet.

Honestly, I think you could make money churning these out. I know I'd buy both an original style, and an Arctic version that matched the Extreme Environment Set if you were to make one. These really do look that good. You should be very proud of your work. They look like the real deal.

No doubt, though the blockier 25th helmets would be a more "realistic" interpretation of what that style of helmet design would likely look like if rendered in real life, IMO. Most ARAH heads were very rounded, wether they should have been, or not. Kind of like a lollipop. Mostly due to the way the figures were cast.
