These were originally made by an awesome member of Minimate Multiverse, Nervous, but over time wore and SS turned yellow, so I did some moding/repainting.
Snake Eyes: Storm Shadow: I had to replace the face decal with a different one, as well as repaint the white.

That's awesome! That does bring up the question of yellowing white plastic though. Those can't be more than four to six years old. The white was yellowing already? And I thought "modern"'toys had that issue figured out.

The plastic on the older white minimate blanks tends to yellow easily.
Thanks!

Those look great and if MezCo actually made those, I would TOTALLY collect them!

Pretty cool - I just wish Hasbro would let Art Asylum do these. I understand the desire not to compete with the Combat Heroes, but those are no more, so...
Well, I suppose there is hope. Sideshow's deal with Hasbro set a new precedent - we may yet see them license out the GI Joe characters for non-traditional action figures again, and Minimates fit the bill...

I think the majority of Tankers would dig GI Joe Minimates. Because Minimates are a collector driven product, we would likely see a large number of fan favorites in the line. We probably wouldn't see any ROC type stuff, mainly ARAH two packs. Art Asylum/DST are good at pairing obscure characters with popular ones to move the product and make collectors jump for joy.

Thanks for the kind words!
The Joe license would be perfect for DST. Army builders would be a plenty, vehicles would work easily, and there's enough variations of characters to keep variants from getting boring. I could make wish lists all day, but imagine the start of the series like this: Wave 1: Cobra Commander (Visor)/Duke Scarlett/Snake Eyes (Ninja) Viper/Zartan VARIANT: Clear Zartan Wave 2: Flint/Jady Jaye Spirit/Storm Shadow Roadblock/Cobra Trooper VARIANT: Lime Green Vest Roadblock Wave 3: Gung Ho/Baroness Firefly/Sgt. Stalker Destro/Iron Grenaider VARIANT: Iron Grenaider Destro Wave 4: Commando Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow (Hooded with black lines cammo) Beachhead/Hawk Hooded Cobra Commander/Crimson Guard VARIANT: Armored Cobra Commander
