Forgive the quality, but it's the best i could do in a pinch...
The concept i was going for is that the V.5 HISS tank would utilize it's "pop-up" gimmick as a means to surprise any Joe unlucky enough to cross it's path. Similar to how a snake in the desert will bury itself in an attempt to ambush it's prey, this Arctic HISS would remain motionless in a snow drift, waiting to strike. i wanted a low-profile, so installed a sensor dish from and Ice-Dagger and anti-vehicle missile launcher from Scrap-Iron to the upper mounts. i doubled up the Vulcan guns on the sides because i've always liked how bad-assed they looked, and really don't care for the missile launchers. i used a textured paint over a flat black base coat to simulate being snow covered. as for the driver, i did a simple head swap with POC Destro, nothing fancy, but i thought it works pretty well. Driver #0045-K Bio: To be placed in control of one of Cobra's most advanced and dangerous weapons, a H.I.S.S. Driver must display an uncanny grasp of vehicle handling and unquestionable loyalty to Cobra. While Driver 0045-K's devotion is without peer, even the most skilled driver can make a mistake. After putting a ding into the Commander's favorite car while washing it, 0045-K was immediately re-assigned to Antarctica as a decoy for the Greenland operation. As the sole unit on the continent, he and his gunner devoutly wait for the opportunity to attack any stray Joes that may wonder by. Snow Serpent Officer #344-D Bio: 334-D has spent many years in service to the Cobra cause, without much to show for it. After being placed into the elite Alley-Viper unit, he was mistakenly shipped off to the desert operation where he nearly died of heat-stroke while still equiped in his urban gear. But not all was bad, 334-D was given the distinct honor of being trained as the gunner for the newest Cobra weapon being developed at the secret desert base: the H.I.S.S. v.5. After finally qualifying for the position, 334-D was soon re-assigned to a special unit in Antarctica. After arriving to find Driver #0045-K as is one and only companion, 334-D was only slightly upset. It wasn't till he saw that his arctic "camo" must have been put in the wash with some red lipstick that he began to doubt his lot in life while the two wait to attack... and wait... and wait..... ...and wait. |
