Hey guys, no marvel universe or DC universe custom this time, just a quick tip for you guys out there that are planning on getting Tron figures.
I juts got these and I think they are GREAT! However one of the cool things is also a downer... Let me explain: The figures (all of them but I am talking about the 3 3/4 scale ones now) have light up features. All the figures have a button in the back at the center of their "data discs" that you push and they light up the torso of the figure for a couple of seconds and then it goes off automatically. (better than the light up 3 3/4 Iron Man thats for sure!) Now one minus is that due to the lighing feature we HAVE NO MID TORSO ARTICULATION. sad but not a total loss. HOWEVER the figures come molded in translucent plastic (their torsos) and then they have matte black painted on top leaving the "light up parts" unpainted. when u light them up they look great but when they are NOT lighted up, (most of the times) they lack a luster. :( they look dead. Now, most times when u have a light up feature and u paint on top of it it created a "dark coat" when u light it up, the great news is these are not going through that! I just painted the chest of my Sam Flynn and my Clu 2.0 and now not only did they look AMAZING without the light, they also looked just a good lighet up! check out the pics belo! oh and by the way, since the newly added paint looked so sharp, i just went over the entirety of the figures with the fine brush and made all the lines again. I just traced of course, but all of the lines have been accentuated and now they both look uniform. enjoy the pics! Bottom line, if you get the figures, GO HEAD AND PAINT THEM! the light up feature will look GREAT still and the figures will take up a life of their own when off. oh, i did all details on the discs on their backs and I also added detail to the data discs they hold! by the way, the heads are of course mine LOL I used an anakin for Sam Flynn and an old Evil Dead Ash cast for Clu while i get a better face. Light OFF no flash Light On no flash Flash detail

I've been trying to figure out the articulation on the figures before I buy? What's it like?
