For an over-qualified helicopter pilot with a bizarre cowboy persona, I felt that the classic WB was a bit under-dressed. The two-tone green flightsuit just wasn't cutting it. I've given him proper leather chaps and a snazzy, cowhide detailing on his vest. I did the piping on his suit out in the same color as his hat to bring the whole thing together a bit. I also blinged out his belt buckle, vest buckles, and boot buckles to give him a nice, rodeo feel.
I also disliked his tiny little noggin, so I purchased a fine head sculpt from SDS. While it was beautiful indeed, I found that I missed his removable hat...so I severely modded a Clutch head to give him the proper hairline, hairdo, and general look, and carved the hat off of my SDS head (if the SDS crew is watching, fear not...I saved that glorious mustache to attach to Clutch's reshaped face!). As with most of my customs, I wanted all weapons to be removable. I used a Zartan knife sheath and a Snowjob holster (equipped with a Marauder John revolver) to make his vest-weapons accessible. I'll be adding some Hunter Artworks holsters to replace the gigantic ones that were originally included. |

another pic...
I have a pair of sunglasses around here somewhere too. He'll just have to tolerate the light until I can find them in my bits box. Found the glasses...here's WB threatening to cut some paparazzi for asking him too many questions about his wardrobe choices. Last edited by afwaywa; 09-19-2010 at 06:09 PM.. awesome idea...and we will have that head with a removable hat as well, will be part of our removable line. Most times the first sculpt is to get the basic shape of the face and so on, then our plans are going back and making the same details removable. This will show the most once we sculpt the new crimson twins, one head done bald, cast, and then modded to look almost 100% like they should.
Great work here regardless what head you use, the figure rocks. |

Much, much improved over the origional; it was the only Joe I ever willingly returned to a store.
And good job with the working holsters; very practical.

I like it! The multi-tone vest sets this apart as a custom; the spotted portion on the back is a nice touch!
