So yeah, Snake Eyes. He's like the Deadpool of Joes; you're not a customizer till you make one. Well, I've already made one, but I wasn't very happy with it (its in RIA) so I wanted a more relaxed, kinda training around the Pit looking SE. Sadly, that went out the window when I put the little jacket (a leftover from my Flint custom) on him, but I'm happy with the result, especially because I know I have a SE that fits in with the rest of my custom Joes! The origional training concept is why I resculpted the thighs; I didn't want any gear, so I dremmeled them, then sculpted, then shifted the concept into obsellescence....
Oh, and just to note, on those bright yellow soles... I was trying to go for those rubber-soled leather work boot you tend to find at Wal*Mart and the like. I'll leave it up to you on how it went. And of course, thing I'm most proud of: non-suckey pictures! I finally went through and played with the Aperture Priority settings, and got a result I'm happy with! And another thing, because Ikeep writing and thinking I'm done, but really I'm not... The eyes, oh, the eyes. I tried about three different paint jobs for the eyes, then got desperate and bought a $15 paint brush; I call her Gwendolyn. The results speak for themselves. As for cunstruction: Head-- Cobra Diver Torso, legs-- 25th SE Arms-- 25th SS, Single pack Belt-- 25th SE V1, with the straps cut off Goggles-- Comic pack FF Vest-- Comic pack FF

Strangley, my favorite picture is the WIP one... The pose is pretty awesome. But I do really enjoy this custom. Fun stuff.

First off, Deadpool is the Snake-Eyes of Marvel.
Second, I really like this look. It has a more commando feel. Good job, even though I don't think Snake-Eyes would buy his boots from Walmart. ;)

jaybeane-- Yeah, I got a good pose there; I couldn't really replicate it on the finished though, as I had close to no time to pose it, as I was fighting against the camera's auto shut-off, at the risk of losing my settings.
Freedom-- Yeah, he's probably one of those creepy guys who spends the weekend hanging around the Army/Navy surplus store... And thanks all for the comments!

This is probaby my favorite Snake Eyes that I have seen in a while. I prefer the commando version like this. I kinda don't like the vest, it's just all the lines make it look wierd to me. Otherwise this definitely an A+ custom.

Yeah, I've never liked the ninja look; it's mostly the stupid LaForge head gear...
As for the vest: yeah, it's more for a tactical/ urban combat character; not a lot of storage room. BUT... It was left over, and no one had to sacrifice for it And thanks for the grade!

Okay, okay, this is going to sound really awkward and self-serving, but... I give myself Neldak Pick of the Week. I really hope this doesn't invalidate the process, BUT: 1) I'm picking figures based on content, skill shown, and above all personal asthetic preference and 2) objective application of those subjective parameters. If this figure were made by anyone else, I certainly would have chosen it, so excluding myself fro the process just because it was my own work would be, technically, descriminatory. That being said, I do think this figure is the weakest one to be picked thus far, so hey... The cookie crumbles on....

I like this look for Snake-Eyes, as a warm climate uniform... I agree, I am not a fan of all the ninja Joes, but I don't mind them as enemies of the Joes... Anyway, I like the figure!
