I like this version. I also think that some derivative of the Red Robin costume would fit in nicely in the Nolan universe...

Excellent Robin! I agree with you though, I wouldn't want to see Robin in the Nolanverse. Which isn't going to happen anyway, as Nolan said.

I like it as a figure. A bit old for what Robin would start off as but cool all the same.

I agree with all of you especially with Echo on this one. IT is too classic for the nolan verse and I see in my own mind that in that universe Robin would not exsist.... I on the other hand would completely feel comfortable with a Jump straight to NightWing.
IT would go toe to toe with the who;le dark moody ambiance of the universe they created. and as m uch as I hate it, it would have to be like Schumacker's take on it... older than a teen, maybe early 20s looking for revenge. Joel's take on it was ok....but executed horribly LOL...but the idea was ok, except h gave the character Jason Todd's horrible attitude. I would do it as Night Wing is in the cartoons from Bruce Timm. or Even like Terry McGuinnes. That would be a badass nightwing with something to prove. That way the relationship would not be like Batman is his dad...and taking him into this world of crazy....but rather....."Let me guide you cuz you look like you're gonna do something crazy anyways.... so let me assist you so you don't end up dead sooner than later." That's my fan fiction for the time being LOL i'll n e making one more and finishing him up today and I'll post it on ebay I'll let u guys know. I always start them up at 15$. j ust saying

Looks good man. I'm a really big Robin fan also. I know it would really go off from the original story but I always thought it would be cool to see Nightwing make a small appearance in the Nolan movies. I'm happy either way though.
Also, before the Dark Knight came out, there were all kinds of rumors that Sarah Michelle Gellar was gonna play Harley Quinn. I had forgotten all about it till months and months after I had seen the movie (over and over). Again, nice job man. Edit: I see you said you would like to see it go straight to Nightwing as well, nice! Great minds think alike. |

oh this is a great figure. I like it a lot. But my point about it being a bit old is that if Nolan did put Robin in the series he would be much younger.
The thing is (yes I know I'm getting off topic with this) I think Robin could work in Nolan's universe. His take on Robin would work very well. If you think about it he lost his family, the woman he loved..... the only person he can connect to is Alfred. Here is some young kid going through the same things he did so where he can relate to Grayson. In fact he can relate to a young Robin better than West or Kilmer could. The problem behind it is you can't fit all the story you would need to tell a Robin story in the Chris Nolan universe in a two hour film. It would take years to tell that story and I don't think Chris will do many more than one or two more movies. |

I think that is a good looking Robin, but if they brought Robin into the Nolan mix it is going to not be Dick but instead Gordon's son. The way the second movie focused on Gordon's son and not his daughter seemed particularly odd given Barbara Gordon's role in the mythos.
Who will pick up the franchise after Nolan and Bale get bored cashing the checks? It is inevitable that someone else will continue this franchise and keep milking it. Perhaps it will be Schumacher. I want to see neon bat-world again. This time I want them to go all the way and not be so subtle. I want glow in the dark Bane back. I also want the music of the scrapped Jim Steinmen Bat-Musical with the neon world. They should also bring in the Scott Pilgrim director to assist Schumacher in how to put in digital pows and zaps into a modern digital film. Adam West should be the Gordon character just for some extra campiness to the neon world. That would be nice after all of the dark brooding Bat-Movies we have had recently. Oh yeah! Schumacher neon Bat again! |
