Low Light, in the PoC style.
Repaint focus on weathering. He is covered in sand. Boots and gloves even. Threw a PoC Zartan disguised head and vest on the Desert Ambush Duke from the RoC line. Repainted the rosey/peach on the body to a more sandblasted color - kneepads, elbows, shoulders and boots. Did the packback from that same Duke, and detailed the strapping and weathered it. (While watching Hot Tub time machine - very distracting). Only thing I wished came out better was the red painted goggles, but I may try again, as soon I pick up a better method to do it. (suggestions?) I simply applied a couple coats of acrylic with a fine brush. EDIT: Added some dio-style images with PoC Dusty. And gave him a proper sniper rifle . . . hehe.

The "rifle" is actually an M-60 machinegun. It was a belt-fed medium machine gun used until the mid to late 90's by US forces. Probably not the best choice for a sniper like Low Light! But all teasing aside, the figure looks amazing! I love what you did with the weathering. Nice job!

I'll take your teasing in stride, and just call him the "3 second burst" version of Low-Light.
Thanks man. |

Mmm. A machine gun doesn't have a burst function. It kinda defeats the purpose of it's role as a support weapon.

Sure it does, it's the trigger finger. Otherwise you overheat the weapon. :p

You know. I recently used a spraycan of Testors Candy Apple Red on a windshield that needed to be red. It is a clear spraypaint that is supposed to be applied over a white or metallic base coat. It worked perfectly. You might try spraying a little spot onto a paper plate and then applying it to some clear goggles with a small brush.
