May i offer some free advice?
Don't Feed the Trolls. May i offer some more free advice? You've got some talent, but it needs pratice. his hair looks a bit.... off. It's a clean job, with little to no mess as far as i can see it, but it looks a little thick. I know there is not a whole lot of detail on Hasblo...err Hasbro Figures, but with a little patience and some practice youcan make what little detail that is there REALLY shine. The easiest thing to do when Painting figures, of ANY SCALE ( i mostly work in 1/6 scale, and 28mm scale) You want to only use Acrlyic paints, as Enamel hardly ever really dries, and you want to Water down your paints to the point where they are see-through when applied. think the consistancy of Ink, or Milk. Once you've got your paints properly thinned, then start appliing them in layers. it will take 10-15 layers to get an even coat, but the finished result will look THOUSANDS of times better for it. Also, if you want to add depth to the Hair for example, after you get the base color, find a lighter shade of the same color, and do one layer of it, then mix up a lighter still shade, and dry-brush it onto the head. Some examples of painted figures. ( granted, they're a larger scale) the skintone is theexample in most of these BY the way. I need to take newer pictures..... |

Amber, painting 3 3/4 inch figures is really, really difficult, especially doing work around skin that you don't want to get paint on. Unless you have experience with it, or advice to offer, give those of us who are learning a break.
