CODE NUMBER: A-lO
DESIGNATION: Shadowbat TYPE: Class 1 Stealth Battle Carrier OPERATORS: MALVANNA (Female) RANK: Formerly Commander, Satellite Command. In charge of the Mercury Research Colony at the time of its accidental destruction. Formerly presumed dead. BATTLE GROUP: Starmada SPECIALTY: Star Commander BASE: Mobile BACKGROUND: With Ph.D.'s in physics, chemistry, computer science and bio-engineering, Professor Malvanna Wilde seemed the perfect person to head the underground facility on Mercury. Looking to advance her career, Malvanna secretly deleted the one fact from her dossier that might have kept her from receiving the assignment - her rapidly failing health, weakened when she was accidentally exposed to an experimental virus. At the time of the explosion precipitated by Dark's unsafe research, Malvanna was working nearby. The explosion left her trapped and on the verge of death when Dark opened the collapsed tunnel, unintentionally saving her life. Exposed to the strange radiation from the explosion, Malvanna found that her failing health was somehow renewed. Stronger than she had ever been in her life, Malvanna vowed to unlock the secret of her rebirth - and that of Dark's power. It was with her help that Dark built the Trine Star, and someday Malvanna hopes to decipher the connection between the ship and Dark's power - and to steal that power for her own. PERSONAL TRAITS: Ruthless, strong and flamboyant, Malvanna is said to have a look of wild-eyed evil about her, and is outlandishly garish-looking, preferring capes and such to the standard military issue of the the rest of the Shadow Force. She is very good at political intrigue, constantly trying to destroy the ambitions of General Vondar and General Torvek, and seems to be afraid of nothing and no one - except for Emperor Dark. PURPOSE: The largest of Emperor Dark's arsenal, the ShadowBats primary function is bombing. It also transports large quantities of cargo, fuel and personnel wherever needed, using cargo modules that attach in place of the main ordinance. Two Parasite Fighters can be carried over long distances on the wings and then launched for a high speed attack. DEPLOYMENT: Two forward mounted rail-guns, Magnum laser cannons protects the aft section of the craft, underside of fuselage can carry an impressive amount of ordinance or cargo modules. Equipped with state of the art cloaking the Shadow Bat is nigh undetectable to sensors. The Hydrazine trail can help track the ShadowBat, but won't do you any good defending yourself in battle. Named ShadowBat due to the fact they are stored upside-down in hangers. This allows a large number of them to be stowed in a much smaller area, It also makes boarding the ships very easy. Once loaded and ready to be deployed they are launched through a hatch in the the floor of the hanger. WEAKNESSES: Hydrazine residue leaves "trail" of detectable sub-atomic particles. Blackskin is subject to total ionic shock when on high speed trans-atmospheric missions. --------------------------------------- CODE NUMBER: A-5 DESIGNATION: Shadow Force Parasite TYPE: Class 1 One-Man Attack Fighter OPERATORS: NAME: Klag CODE: A-56 RANK: Major BATTLE GROUP: Starmada SPECIALTY: Parasite Pilot NAME: Ramor CODE: A-50 RANK: Sergeant BATTLE GROUP: Starmada SPECIALTY: Weapons Master BASE: Mobile EVALUATION: Klag is basically a maniac, no self-control at all. Foul-tempered and quick to scream and holler. Ramor is quietly menacing, but oddly honorable. He is always very definite, once he has made up his mind, only a direct order from Dark can change it. Really spooky. PURPOSE: Ultra high speed pursuit and aerial combat. Dogfighter par excellence, with exceptional maneuvering and evasive abilities. A more than formidable opponent for any Microfighter. Wing design makes craft inherently unstable, but the four on-board guidance computers keep it stable and responsive to pilot commands. In dogfights, computers can be momentarily switched off, causing craft to tumble wildly, which is an excellent evasive maneuver. DEPLOYMENT: The Parasites can be transported to battle areas on the Shadowbat for high speed launching. Magnum laser cannons deploy from fuselage and extend for long-range fighting, canopy lifts for the pilot to get in and out; engine deploys for maximum thrust. WEAKNESSES: Short range; excessive G-Force on high speed turns can cause pilot blackout. Guidance computers are vulnerable to EMP weapons causing instant crash-and-burn. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So after reading a toys of old review on StarCom, I realized it fit perfect in my JoeVerse. I took some liberties in the design crossover, but I hope I kept the feel of the ShadowBat. The Torsos, heads, and a few of the guns are Tri-Gate pieces: AB-XXX-T3 - Archive Torso #03 SO-2 - Torso head combo 2---just the torso SO-7 - WOG pistol AJ-TTT-W23 - Archive Weapon #23 AJ-OOO-49 - Archive Head #49 AJ-OOO-46 - Archive Head #46 AJ-OOO-59 - Archive Head #59 The heads were all painted by the very talented MacGyver. I am very fortunate to have several pieces done by her. The arm and legs come from accelerator suit ripcord, roadblock, and ice viper. The helmet from a Ripley cubrik custom cast. (Idea totally stolen from Mysterious Stranger, you rock!), and the rest of the kibble from Corps, starforce gear. The Shadow Bat and Parasites are of course a modified Mamba. The Tri-gate Spaced Out section has lots of variations on this torso, so I plan on using them to add to the ranks. Good Guys and Bad. Anyway, here is the ShadowBat, Parasites and pilots: Last edited by DarkWynter; 07-13-2010 at 10:24 PM.. Reason: trying to conform to new posting guidelines......... |

I'm glad you guys dig them.
I cast them. The bottom of the helmet is done in hard plastic, while the top is flexy. I have stockpiled several, so I can make more customs for a ginormous space themed project. I cast the tops in clear, clear-pink, clear-purple, and clear-blue. These were all clear-purple. After spraying the non-see through areas black and getting a little under my tape, they look smokey-clear. Which I'm fine with for these. If you are interested in some pm me, we can work something out. They work great for the spaced out torsos from tri-gate. I got the idea from Mysterious Stranger, if you saw his Payload figure it was incredible. A few of the goodguys will follow his recipie closely. |
