I present my TNT custom from the Argentina line.
Recipe: Head, Body, & Backpack: 25th Blowtorch Rifle: DVD Battles Duke Helmet: Vintage Doc (from Battle Gear Pack) Pretty simple repaint and I'm surprising pleased with the outcome on the silver parts. I lucked out on this one by using a dark grey undertone and a silver drybrush on top. Last edited by cgcommando; 07-08-2010 at 03:27 PM.. |

Thanks. Got that fixed. Really strange since I hadn't even opened that pic in a while.

There we go! Not a figure I am familiar with (the Argentina line had some interesting figures, but this one must have been under the radar for me); was he supposed to be the flame thrower specialist in that line as well, or just carry a machine gun? Anyway, the colors are well done, and don't appear to be bleeding the original colors through them, which is saying a lot, as that light blue going over yellow was probably a lot of fun... Nice job on the figure!

The blue wasn't so bad. Actually, I think two coats did the trick. I used an old opaque stain (for pottery) that I've had for a dozen or so years. It went on thin and even and it looks good.

-Todd Blowtorch is one of my favourite characters so I had a lot of different versions including the Argentina Backstop which was blowtorch done in Backstop's colors (but does not include backpack and flamethrower). Also, great job on the customcgcommando. Ever plan to repaint a Blowtorch into the Argentina Backstop?
