A little paint goes a long way! I've got a series of customs here that were made from extra pieces, and some parts swapping, with some Tamiya acrylic paint applications to finish them off! First up is Tundra Stalker!
I loved the original Tundra Ranger Stalker. He deserved a 25th style update. The body is 25th Snow Job, the head comes from the 25th Stalker with a sculpted hat, backpack from the ROC Snake Eyes, and the goggles are from the Golden Compass Azrael (the rest, of course, will be applied to making a Daniel Craig 007!). Next up: Two versions of Major Bludd! I recently posted on the cool letter I received from Hasbro when I attempted to get my first Major Bludd back in the day. I wanted my 25th version to be a little more functional, so I modified the figure included with the desert battle pack--adding articulation to the arm by kit-bashing it with an Air Viper arm. I also added a sidearm holster, and modded the dog tags to fit more naturally. The next version is Major Bludd in Cobra Fatigues. Totally easy custom, Major Bludd head added to the Bazooka Trooper body. Equipped with his backpack and pistol, he's ready to go! My next custom is a little more involved. I wanted a Footloose that looked like the 80s original version. Here's what I did: the body is 25th Lt. Falcon, with a t-shirt painted underneath the BDUs. The big mod I did here was the arms. I used the lower arms from the ROC Footloose (in addition to the head). To create a more natural looking fit, I removed the rolled-up sleeve areas from Falcon's lower "Duke" arms, tunneled them out, and filed them down to create a cuff and socket for Footloose's lower arms. These "rings" were attached to the upper arms around the socket. Footloose's accessories: helmet and antitank weapon from 25th Bazooka, M-16 from DTC Footloose, and backpack from Lt. Falcon. The next figure is Grand Slam. This was an easy one. I repainted the protective pads on the ROC Grand Slam to match his original HAL color scheme, and added a JUMP pack from the 25th battle pack Stalker. Next up, Lt. Falcon in "original 13" style GI Joe fatigues! This custom was cobbled together from parts leftover from the previously discussed projects. I used the 25th Stalker battle pack body, and just had to paint the neck to match Falcon's skin tone. Scarf is also from 25th Falcon. Shotgun is a DTC accessory. Easy, but I'm really happy with the result. The final figure is Main Frame. Like many people, I didn't care for the head included with the comic pack version. The head for this custom comes from the Star Wars Baron Fell figure (love the vibe, as Mainframe is supposed to be an older guy). Helmet is from 25th Breaker, painted black. I also added a sidearm holster on his left leg. With this figure, as with all my customs, when tooling is required to create a better fit for the joints, I use a Dremel tool for drilling and routing, and fill in sockets (and create sculpted parts) with Milliput. Thanks for checking these out! Not only were they fun to make, but were made with mostly extra parts, so it was an inexpensive way to get some new Joes for my collection, while waiting for Pursuit of Cobra. Very simple, yet very effective... That Stalker in winter gear is a winner, and the Mainframe with removable helmet, well what else need I say? Great ideas for the rest of us!

@kneroh, to clarify on the Mainframe head--its Baron Fell, from a Star Wars comic 2-pack. The figure is included with a Rogue Squadron X-Wing pilot.

Awesome job on all of them! That Mainframe head is perfect and looks just like it came out of Marvel issue #58!!!
