EDIT: DETAILED PICTURES OF THE TRACKS ARE ON PAGE THREE. NEW FULL BODY SHOTS ON ARE PAGE FIVE!
Whew! Got this on July 1st, decided it needed a new paint job, and spent all day yesterday painting it x.x I did the inside of the cockpit, too, but I didn't take any photos of it because I'm not happy with how it turned out. I would just like to say that this was an extremely involved painting process. I first applied a layer of Citadel Paints Scorched Brown, followed by Bestial Brown, followed by a mix of Bestial Brown and Bubonic Brown, followed by Bubonic Brown. The "bare metal" look was achieved by applying Boltgun Metal to the edges of raised surfaces, to simulate paint wear as if the tank had been driven through a sandstorm or twelve. I used the two darkest browns (scorched and bestial) to simulate the dirt/grease/exhaust in various places on the tank. I'm going to do more of these once they see a wider release. I'm trying to decide on the next one's color scheme. Right now I've got it narrowed down to a predominately gray urban camo, or a predominately red urban camo (think spetsnaz in MW2). Whatcha guys think?

That's super cool! I plan on doing the same thing, repainting it with weathering

You did some amazing work on this!
The weathered "hit by sandstorm" effect is perfect. How long did it take to do the painting on this? The Cobra Desert seven pack figures would look perfect posed next to this vehicle, since they have similar color scheme.

Thanks! I think I took about six or seven hours to do the exterior. Getting the weathering to look right was the tricky part, and I had to paint and repaint several areas (like the surfaces affected by the exhaust ports) several times to get the look I wanted. I had initially painted things like the wheels with metallic paint, thinking that I could just paint the "paint job" color over it and have it look right...Boy was I wrong. The best way to paint weathering effects is to very carefully drybrush them over the 'normal' paint, and if they look too deliberate, smudging them with a fingertip works well.
