Tankers,
I happened to run across this trailer for a new superhero/vigilante show to be aired on NBC called... The Cape! CAST: David Lyons as The Cape/Vince Faraday - an honest cop framed for a series of murders. Keith David as Max Malini – the ringleader of a circus gang of bank robbers who mentors Vince and trains him. Summer Glau as Orwell Vinnie Jones as Scales Watch the trailer! - My LBC Cape Custom figure! LMAO! I made this in 1.3rd of a millisecond after watching the trailer! JLT |

It was ok, nothing I'll stick with unless it gets better. Nothing new or exciting about it to me as far as a superhero story goes. But, it may get better. Also, not loving The Cape/Vince Faraday actor. I think picking a darker looking guy would have made more sense. He is very fair and blue eyed, kind of a bit on the pretty boy side.

He doesn't use guns at all, does he? The pilot is sitting on my DVR and I haven't watched it yet. But this looks pretty good.

No, he doesn't use guns. At least, not yet! if you look at the date this was first posted, it was in June '10 and all I saw was a teaser trailer at that point!
I enjoyed the pilot. I didn't LOVE it as much as I thought I would. The Cape costume is pretty simple, yet cool, but as sonoftimmy noted, the lead actor is not the series' strong point. It IS always cool to see Keith David as The Thing is one of my top ten favorite films. Loved him in Platoon, too, now that I'm thinking of it... and They Live! Pretty much a cool character actor that would have been a kick-ass Roadblock in the 80's!

I was pretty impressed with it and to top it off my wife who normally won't sit and watch stuff like this actually set up a series recording.
