This is my second attempt at Monkeywrench. I am extremely happy with how this turned out.

Here he is with his fellow Noks:
The first Monkeywrench I did: Recipe: Head: Tri-Gate Creations (Excellent job guys!) Torso, Arms, and Legs: Monkey Wrench from 2-pack Vest: Modded Wild Bill's vest Bandolier: Modded Monkey Wrench bandolier (cut and glued grenades on from a second Monkey Wrench bandolier) Bandanas: Night Force Tunnel Rat bandanas Weapon: I don't have the vintage trident looking gun. So, since he's the Noks demolitions guy, I gave him a grenade launcher. I want the vintage weapon, as the Noks are known in part for their unorthodox weapons. Paints used were Testor's Model Masters Acryllics and Citadel Paints. Last edited by Cloud Strife; 06-14-2010 at 08:02 PM.. |

Dude, I did a double-take at that. Looks almost exactly like the same shot that I took. Haha.
I like the "official" ammo belt much better than mine. I have a Hasbro MW in box still, but haven't opened him... I may need to after seeing this. That's one of the sharpest MW's I've seen. I've modified mine so many times, it's probably best that I start from scratch so I get a cleaner one. The knee wraps look great. The ones I used were Falcon and the hole isn't quite big enough for both legs. I love that head. Tri-Gate really did a great job on that one. |

I have to say, you're one of my favorite customizers on the Tank and I really do appreciate your feedback. You're Monkeywrench was what motivated me to do mine. I think the bandolier you have for your MW is awesome! But if you do decide to use the one that came in the 2-pack, just let me know and I can send you the extra bandolier of his that I have, so that you can use the grenades for yours. Just PM me and let me know!
And your right, Tri-Gate did do a great job on the MW head. Did you have to cut the Hasbro bandolier, or did you just add the 1-2 extra grenades onto it? The problem with mine, is that the 5 grenades are all glued on, and the belt is made from 2 belts, so it's a tad too fragile for my taste. I would like one that's less fragile. I still hate the Hasbro Gung Ho vest, but the Mutt Williams or Wild Bill vests are probably the best 2 substitutes. I wish they'd used the WB or Mutt one for the Wal-Mart version, but sadly that was the least of their worries. I can't believe you painted the legs over. It doesn't look like it. If I were to make another one, I'll still get another Torch to steal the legs and torso from so I don't have to paint so much, but it'll probably look closer to yours. The Tunnel Rat scarves work pretty well, and I have lying around... |
