Seriously, a lot of ground-support aircraft depend on visual sighting of targets; air-to-ground radar is pretty limited, and IR can be misleading. Light amplification isn't quite as easy to fool. It's not uncommon for US Army or Air Force pilots to use night-vision goggles - though my understanding is that the practice is limited to 2 pilot aircraft, and only one of them wears the amps as the wreck your depth perception.

From 1989 filecard
"The sighting system is fiber-optically linked to the operator's helmet which contains range-finders, trajectory computers and image intensifiers." I was going to make a card and update it to have a satellite feed that shows a readout of the entire battlefield. Mr. Focus, I would say you've been drawn and quartered but notice he doesn't actually have many missiles and the one shown is a HEDP and not really good for Ground to Air attacks. |

I really like your trooper specilizations, its a nice break from the vipers. I also like how you are sticking to the same color schemes for each one. Keep it up.
