Going to post up some of my old threads in the "new format"...
This is a figure that I put together for another custom forum. The idea behind this figure was this... I was sent a bag full of "spare parts" and tasked to assemble and paint a figure from the parts. The rules said that I could add any extra accessories that I wanted, but had to assemble the figure from the parts that I was sent. Let's start with the parts that I was sent: My first idea was to bash the Shipwreck head with the Viper helmet... which I did... and then make a new Dreadnok out of that... but the head piece was way too small to work with any of the torsos. Not sure why, but I want to try and re-visit that idea at some point, so I'll see if I can make a second figure out of the leftovers. So I was pretty much stuck with Duke at that point. We have had sooooo many versions of Duke... but I don't remember a Jungle version, so that's what I went with: (I wanted to take more pics but my camera battery was dead from Toy Fair and I forgot to recharge it... so it died after those two shots. I'll re-charge and take more pics soon) I used the Duke head, Matt Trakker torso, Arctic Snake Eyes legs, Snake Eyes upper arms and elbows and then the gloves from that other figure (who I didn't recognize but thought they were cool). Big problem was that they elbow joints for those mystery lower arms were too small to fit into the Snake Eyes upper arms, so I cut the SE arms and added the mystery gloves. But, the glove articulation was mid forearm, which I just glued to the SE arms... so I used the Blasterman/Obi-Shinobi wrist articulation method by cutting the hands off and then putting some small LEGO levers in the middle to give the hands articulation. I added the backpack/hat/rifle w/custom sling/belt to finish him off... and then attempted my first ever camouflage paint job. Let me know what you think.
