I'm honestly surprised that we never got this guy in the 25th, considering how important a role he played in Rise of Cobra.
I would have bought this guy in a heartbeat, but Hasbro can keep Mr. Eko. Heavy Duty, he's not. Last edited by Mandingo Rex; 09-17-2010 at 02:24 AM.. |

Thanks man. I owned HD as a kid, and man was he awesome. I still love the aesthetics of him, minus the green. That's why I toned down the neon slightly.
I won the launcher in an eBay auction, and didn't get the missiles, but decided I'd leave him without them as they're sort of ridiculously big, and neon green. Also, the original backpack/sight is missing, but I had to mod the lower launcher anyways to get him to fit in it, so I don't know how well the backpack would have worked anyways. I like the simpler pack I gave him anyways. |

Heavy D's been on the Thigh Master.
Honestly, he's a spare parts Joe that I simply realized I had the parts for, but I felt that the Bazooka legs work almost perfectly compared to the ARAH Heavy Duty. The Buzzer torso, on the other hand, is way too skinny for the arms and legs. And yeah, the big thighs drive me nuts, but he's displayed with the launcher on, so it hides them anyways. |

I think he looks alright. I was referring to the big guns he's got resting on them.

(Sorry for the crappy iPhone WIP pic) Except I'm too OCD and had to have the vintage look as close as possible. I actually like the vest better, as it bulks him up, and I dislike the ridiculous gun/cannon assembly, but... well. It's gotta be vintage. |
