Since the last time I posted, I've done a lot more in the way of customs. I could literally dump a huge ton of them here, but I don't really want to just dump them here all quick like that. Also because, as I've finally started working with paint, I'm going to be reworking a few and adding touch-ups. But I will gradually post them as I am happy with them.
Torpedo This one just fell together. I had been long working on an Airtight figure, but never was happy with it. So I ended up having this generally useless Barbecue torso. So, some time went by and I finally got my hands on the new POC figures. Upon opening Zartan, I kept staring at the extra head. I loved it and knew I wanted to do something with it. An hour or so on YoJoe.com later, I am reminded that old Torpedo dumped the wetsuit in the new sculpt era and actually stood out much better. Cue the light bulb. So, here we are. And hey, I used paint. Parts List Zartan [Desert Battle] (Pursuit of Cobra) - Disguise Head Barbecue (Rise of Cobra) - Torso & upper arms Alley Viper [City Strike] (Pursuit of Cobra) - Lower arms Recondo [Jungle Assault] (Pursuit of Cobra) - Hands & left upper leg Storm Shadow [Ninja Battles Set] (Rise of Cobra) - Right leg & left lower leg I hope you guys like it. |

Crankcase
Had the idea for this fall together after I stared long and hard at the extra Snow Job head I had. I knew I wanted to do something with it, but had no idea what would work. I never even knew the character Crankcase, really. But I did remember seeing him in the early issues I'd read so far of the IDW series and I thought he made a much better driver for the A.W.E. Striker than Night Fox. So I set forth constructing a modern take on him. I even experimented with giving him the appearance of driving quite often through the desert terrain. Nobody who does that is going to be clean. So I hope you all enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it. Parts List Head: Snow Job (Rise of Cobra) Torso: Tunnel Rat (Resolute) Upper Arms: Tunnel Rat (Resolute) Lower Arms: Snow Job (Rise of Cobra) Hands: Beachhead (Rise of Cobra) Upper Legs: Jungle Viper Lower Legs: Storm Shadow (Desert Battle) Feet: Duke (Desert Ambush) Gun: Dataframe (25th Anniversary) Gun Harness: Copperhead (Rise of Cobra) Muffler: Dusty (Desert Battle) Helmet: General Hawk (25th Anniversary) Backpack: Snake Eyes (Ninja Battles) |

I really like Mercer, Crankcase, and Torpedo. Not familiar with the Red Jackal as a character, but he looks good as a figure. Nice work.

I really like that Mercer, simple, yet very effective. The color combinations are a great throwback to the original. Crankcase = bitchin'. He was one of my favorites growing up, and the 25th version was... not the best. Great work.

Crimson God: Thanks. Yeah, I am trying to only post the one I am completely happy with.
milesflex: Red Jackal was the Action Force version of Destro and basically the second in command of the Red Shadows. That's why I wanted to just have him all scarred instead of wearing chromed out helmet, so he'd stand apart as his own character. Outback 2094: I'm glad you like the colour combinations. I try to keep similar colours to the classics so they are easily recognized as who they are meant to be. And I am especially happy I was able to make one of your favourite characters from your youth. |

Mercer is a sheer genius on parts swap. I am gonna do that with the Hawk head from the 2nd 25th 5-pack release.
