A real Colt M4 is 29.8" with the stock closed. If you scale that to 1/18th, you get 1.65". So based on that fact, the Bravo Team M4 (1 & 11/16ths) is closest to correct scale in length. Another example would be the Colt M4 barrel is 14.5", which equates to 7/8ths of 1". Guess what? The Bravo barrel is 7/8ths. So it looks like the Bravo Team M4 is the closest to 1/18 scale for a 6' (72") man. Quote:
The figures themselves I think height wise work a treat. Your going by the Newer 25th Joe heights aren`t you? Though they are on the same height of the ROC Desert Duke & I think as a 1/18th scale height they do measure out to be 6ft, not the Freaky New Joe heights some have.
Anyway... 3 3/4" in a true 1/18th scale would equate to a 5' 6 1/2" man, while 4" equals a 6' man. Yeah... I suppose. We do have shorter people in the real world too. Quote:

Hope this helps those wondering about scales and sizes. It's frustrating to say the least, I know. |

I thought the average height of a person is 5' 10" which look to me is what Hasbro went by. Look at the 25th Duke he 6' 2 and stands taller than the Stalker or Snake-eyes and most other fig in the roc line. The 25th Stalker or Snake-eyes and most joes arethe same height as many BBI, Team bravo figs.

Obi,
Thank`s again for your views mate & the clearer photo of the M4 comparrison compared to mine LOL Also thanks for cracking one of the figures open too. As said plan on doing that once I have the others in hand. We`ll see how the arm to 25th torso goes when i get at it LOL BTW the torso crack open easy enough or is that a boil n pop you done there? I knew the legs could pop off (did that in my review). The legs I do see being a MAJOR job giving them double knee joints & maybe painting up a 25th/ROC pair is the easier option. As said you never know TIEKA may plan on tweaking the figures articulation in the future BUT for what it is, it`s nice to have something very close to articulated generic troops. Yea Bravo Team are sweet BUT they lack that leg/feet articulation. |
