All I ask is that you pm me when you post and name your custom Rebel Angel BLANK BLANK BLANK. My Joeverse summary - 200-300 years in the future, Cobra, a ancient secret society whose list of historic leaders/Cobra Commanders include Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Ghengis Khan, and Hitler, finally succeed in taking over the world through the massive use of nukes. Survivors of that nuclear holocaust find themselves cast into a future dark age under fuedal law with Cobra dominating every aspect of their lives. It's a high tech cyber punk industrial wasteland world. For those who choose not to live as a subject of Cobra, their only choice is to escape into the Badlands, vast areas of nearly unihabitable wasteland, where they live as outlaws, bandits, pirates, and or freedom fighters. Create your own band of outlaws/freedom fighters/mercenaries/pirates or your own Cobra strike force for this world! You can even have your own Sector, name it Sector WHATEVER YOU WANT, or you can be an Cobra Noble with your own land to rule. Rule it however you want. Part 103: How the Rebel Angels Gave Rise to GI Joe
For nearly a decade, the outlaw who called herself Cover Girl did everything she could to share her discovery. After her family was betrayed by Cobra, she and the Wolverine struggled to survive in the harsh conditions of the Badlands. The Wolverine was a battle android trooper programmed by Cover Girl’s father to protect her since her birth. While exploring the vast plains of the Badlands in search for salvage, a dust storm was brewing and they took shelter in a nearby ravine. It was there that the Wolverine’s advance sensors were alerted to nearby weapons and equipment. At first, Cover Girl thought his sensors malfunctioned due to the abnormally large readout of equipment. Upon investigating, she verified that the readout was not the result of a malfunction. Her eyes lit up in shock, her spine filled with electricity, she couldn’t believe it. Directed by the Wolverine’s sensors, they frantically scurried the ravine in search of this treasure. They happen upon what seemed to be a blocked off entrance. She ordered the Wolverine to blast through that section of the ravine wall. After digging through the rubble, she noticed the remnants of a rusty metal doorway. Above it was a large metal plate with some inscription on it. She could only make out a few letters that read “Unite_ Sta_es _f America . . . G.I. J_e.” She was perplexed and after prying their way in and carefully finding their way down a long corridor, she was shaken at what she saw. Cover Girl had stumbled upon the greatest archeological discovery of her time. She had discovered, the PIT. Inside, there was a cache of enough weapons and equipment to raise a small army. But even more important, was an electronic database of the world’s true history with all of mankind’s collective knowledge including its art, culture, religions, science and technology. Along with this tremendous gift, she discovered a recorded message from the former soldiers who fought a desperate war against the might of Cobra. The message read, “To anyone hearing this, we are GI Joe. We fought Cobra during the last days of freedom in the world, but we were not able to overcome the menace. By now, we fear Cobra’s rule over the world may be unchallenged. Cobra has undoubtedly lied to you. The true account of mankind’s history can be found here. It is here because of General Hawk orders to preserve the ability to fight for future generations. We placed hidden caches all over the world. These caches are nearly identical. We have left you this legacy in hopes that you would spread the knowledge and pick up the fight against tyranny. We can only hope your yearning for freedom and your desire to protect those who cannot protect themselves is great enough for you to carry on the fight. Yo Joe!” She spends the next several years spreading the information and knowledge by pirating Cobra’s own communications networks. The message of GI Joe became infamous on the net. Bandits and outlaws from sectors far away hear the message. Many of them discover GI Joe’s cache as well. Bandits that once competed with each other now band together under one cause; to defeat Cobra. But it wasn’t until the image of Lady Jaye’s wanted poster was transmitted over the net that the people began to hope. The image was of Lady Jaye in her flight suit making her escape from Cobra controlled territory. Cobra referred to her as Rebel Scum, but the people began to call her the Rebel Angel. She became the symbol of hope to all freedom fighters as they united to fight Cobra under one flag, GI Joe. Shortly after Lady Jaye escaped into the Badlands she was rescued by Cover Girl and the two join forces. Shortly after Captain Scarlett surrendered the 176th Light Brigade of Cobra’s 13th Vipers Foreign Legion, the young Captain also chose to join Cover Girl’s cause. They all swore an oath to fight for freedom wherever there’s trouble. And just like Cover Girl had already done, Alison Hart-Barnet and Captain Shana O'hara took on the code names of those heroic soldiers, Lady Jaye and Scarlett in order to honor those fallen soldiers. This is how the Rebel Angels formed and how they gave rise to GI Joe all over the world. They all have such great stories and excellent custom work, that it's so tough to decide. The hair that gave LJ the win is that I've always been partial to her. Hot chick in BDUs w/ some cleavage? Sign me up!

It could be but wouldn't you rather have your own thread to ensure pics of your custom is on top?
I hope more people join us in the Badlands! I hope to see some Rebel Angel - Cobras and Rebel Angel - Mercs/pirates/nomads/and overall weirdos too. Possibilities are endless! Get those creative juices flowing! |
