Hello all I have been meaning to try a hand at customizing a Snake Eyes figure out of the target exclusive "rescue mission" figure. I have been looking at a ton of different recipes but I am having trouble making up my mind, any ideas, tips, hints or tricks would be very appreciated
Thanks for your time |

Hmm, first define what you want your snake eyes to be. Commando snake eyes? Ninja snake eyes? Future version? current? Once your custom has a purpose, then it should be easier to select parts that compliment that purpose.

Ahh yes I thought I forgot something lol, well I would like to sorta fuse the elements of commando and ninja and to have both elements balance the other out. I know for sure I want to keep the sword in the mix but it can either be long and traditional or tactical and short like in GI Joe: Resolute either way works fine . Also I am pretty well set on using the Paris pursuit head

makes sense.so think about what sort of traits you want to incorporate. Maybe you like lots of pouches and stuff, so he looks bulky and loaded with gear...if that's the case you might use the Pit Commando vest and perhaps the Grenade laden upper arms of the black and silver SE. It really depends on how you are wanting him to be. Like, for example, i don't care for combat boots on SE, so i tend to use the Rescue SE lower legs as-is. You might like combat boots, so you might replace his feet with another foot that has laces and a more traditional look. Or you might swap his lower legs all together for the v1 snake eyes lower legs.

Hmmm, to me I think of SE as slightly slender build, not bulky at all, powerful yes but more quick and agile than bulky and brawny, some pouches sure, or perhaps some web gear. also I forgot to mention this earlier I am a BIG Metal Gear Solid fan and was very intrigued by the character Raiden (especially as the tech/cyborg ninja in MGS4) and would love to mix in some of his elements as well

Just buy city strike. If you already have one, open it. If your CS SE is opened, play with it. Thats about as good as it gets.

I painted his visor silver, and his pouches and straps dark grey, and now he's one of my favorite versions.

Or you could make an all new SE, better suited for your tastes, with parts from other toy lines. Especially if you're wanting a more slender, agile SE. Here's something I threw together a few months ago, but need to finish of course.

Thanks for your time -The lined, pointed visor is a must. -ONE sword...no other ninja weapons. -gear he can move in and creep -uzi Big clunky boots, ammo packs and multiple daggers and stars have no place with Snake Eyes in my world. Please post pics when you are done! |
